Hey Vanessa~super pictures! I have been wondering--what kind of lens do you have? I have a dslr, too, (a Canon EOS), but I can't seem to get the vibrant pictures that others get. Are these sooc shots or do you tweak them? Thanks!
Thanks Melissa! My go-to lens is my 50 mm. Photographers typically call it the nifty fifty because it is an incredible lens for only about $100. For the most part all my pics are sooc. I very rarely do anything to them unless I want to have fun with black and white, etc. And of course, I do put my watermark on them These were not tweaked at all.
Yep, I can. Do you have any kind of photoshop at all?? If so, I would search on You Tube for Making a Watermark in Photoshop. If you don't, I think many just enter your picture onto a free photo website and add the words then. They won't be "hidden" that way, but still a watermark is better than not having one or so everyone says!
If you have more questions, you can ask away! I wish I knew exactly how to do one without photoshop, but I don't! :(
Ok, sorry--one more question. I have a remedial understanding of lenses; I just looked at my lens that came with the camera and it says 18-55mm. Would that meant that it "includes" 50 mm? I wonder if I need to tweak some of the settings...
The 18-55mm lens would be considered a kit lens. Meaning it came with your camera as part of a kit. It is a zoom lens. It is different then the 50mm because the 50mm is a fixed lens meaning it is not a zoom lens. Instead, you have to move closer or farther away from your subject. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it creates amazing, clear, crisp, pictures!
Again, feel free to ask any other questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them! :)
Hi! I'm Vanessa! Wife to handsome hubby Chris. Mom to three little girls whom I adore. I'm passionate about life, adoption, photography, missions, music, singing, and reading.
Often described as effervescent, I march to the beat of my own drum and I'm ok with that.
Come follow along with me through the laughter and tears of learning how to parent three girls, how to deal with the challenges of adoption, and the interesting stories that life may bring our way.

Thanks! I'll have to put that on my wish list... :) I have also wondered how to put the watermark on--care to answer that question, too??
